How to avoid vaginal infections during the summer
The heat of summer can bring us much more than a sunny day and a nice tan, and it is this time of year in which vaginal infections appear more frequently and the risk of acquiring increases by 50%.
Symptoms of a vaginal infection are quite obvious and no woman should ignore: itching, burning, pain when urinating and downs of color and odor than usual. If these symptoms present health may be at risk.
The rates of infection are several (vulvovaginitis bacterial etc.). But the most common fungal infections or candidiasis. The women have a vaginal flora that protects us against infection, but the increase in temperature and humidity make this flora is weakened by increasing the decreases, making us more prone to infection by the action of microorganisms.
Hopefully we can take preventative measures to help us avoid suffering from these annoying and dangerous infections. After a day at the beach should immediately change the wet bathing suit for underwear and cotton in days must avoid the lycra, tight pants, tampons and protectors daily.
The consequences of infection are not a thing of the game, can be serious and cause vaginal pain or becoming an injury to the cervix which in turn could lead to premalignant lesions and then to a cancer. Our health care by taking the proper precautions.
