Eczema On Scalp

Eczematous lesions on the scalp are frequent and are due to different factors such as atopy, allergy and irritation caused. The seborrheic dermatitis also often manifests itself in the scalp.
Strong scaling, itching, redness and possibly weeping and are characteristic. Eczema outbreaks are particularly retroaurikular and at the hairline there.
Diagnosis:

Differential diagnoses:

Other possible, but rare differential diagnoses are Lichen, Histiocytosis X, acrodermatitis enteropathica and vitamin B6 deficiency. If a Folliculitis is to be seen (eg super infection), have illnesses such as Folliculitis Decalvans and Staphylokokkenfolliculitis also be considered.
