Eczema On Face
Various forms of eczema such as atopic dermatitis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis and irritant skin can cause changes in the face.
The lesions may take the form of redness, scaling and oozing may occur. With a chronic eczema is also a lichenification. Forehead, cheek, chin, and periorbital Perioralregion may be infected.
Diagnosis:
The diagnosis is based on a thoroughmedical history and clinical examination and further testing such as prick or reactions if atopy or allergy is suspected.
Differential diagnoses:
Possible differential diagnoses of eczema, and depend on the individual skin texture from. Psoriasis Perioral dermatitis, rosacea and tinea must be accompanied by a facial dermatitis can be distinguished. Other differential diagnoses are certain porphyria, lupus erythematosus, erysipelas, dermatomyositis, Melkersson-Rosenthal syndrome and infectious diseases such as erythema infectiosum (rooming).
